In the interests of helping prevent and/or mitigate a possible environmental catastrophe, Colorado's contractor community stands ready.

Statement from Ken Smith, Government Affairs, Colorado Contractors Association

In view of the attached press release and in the interests of helping prevent and/or mitigate a possible environmental catastrophe, please know the Colorado Contractors Association (CCA) stands ready, willing and able to mobilize as necessary.

CCA represents hundreds of civil construction firms, suppliers, and professional goods and service providers, and tens of thousands of professional staff and workers throughout Colorado. CCA is committed to doing all it can to help protect Lake County/Leadville people and infrastructure and Arkansas River water.

We understand you are engaging the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the EPA in a conference call today. If you find it helpful, we are willing to participate. Please contact any of the following individuals to let us know if or how we can be part of any short- and/or long-term solution.
